ACTRA Alberta & ACTRA Manitoba have engaged the training services of Atlanta-based dialect coach Amani Dorn to grow the talent pool of Black performers looking to increase their skills and knowledge of African American Vernacular English (AAVE) accents and dialects. Learn more about Amani at www.amanidorndialects.com
Amani will be offering a constructive and fun series of 5 workshops to 28 ACTRA Alberta & Manitoba members on December 5th & 6th. Performers will get a total of 7.5 hours of instruction over 2 days. 1.5 hours of that instruction will provide you with the opportunity to workshop text with a specific regional dialect, alongside 6 other students.
The registration fee for the two-day workshop $47.50 + GST = $50.00 and is non-refundable (ACTRA Alberta & Manitoba are subsidizing the cost to keep the fee reasonable).
Registration is open to ACTRA Alberta & Manitoba members (Full, Apprentice & AABP) in good standing.
